Does God Hold Our Sins Against Us?

If anyone could answer that question directly I am sure there would be a few churches that would be out of the realm of worshiping God. Unfortunately, there are those people who feel they can judge other people and know the ultimate answers.

However, in the Bible we are told that if we have faith, believe, and do everything we can to live a life that is good, God will not hold our sins against us. Our sins are forgotten. But this does not mean that we can intentionally sin, knowing it is wrong, and just keep living that way of life. God is not going to keep forgetting about our sins if we do nothing, hat we know we are sinning and just doing it anyway.

Actually, if God held our sins against us, there would be a lot of us, who hold Christianity in high regards, in trouble. Those people who don’t care or just don’t believe, will live life however they want to sin or not, but they aren’t concerned with what God has in store for them either. God will eventually let everyone know about his or her sins. That is why not intentionally sinning is something I work hard at.

Realize though that we aren’t perfect and God knows that too. It is in the Bible that God will not hold our sins against us if we attempt to live our life, as God would want us too. This means doing our best to not sin, and knowing that when we do we need to admit it and not deny it, and then God will not hold our sins against us.
Jesus
Unfortunately, some people don’t agree with this at all and their opinions and ideas are extremely different. With that being said I think a person has got to live their life the way they feel is right. If you believe in God and trust him then you won’t want to sin; you will want to live a good, wholesome life. On the other hand, if you don’t believe in God then you are probably thinking I am crazy by now anyway.

That’s probably why God gave us all the “freedom to choose”. No one can decide for us; that is something that is totally left up to us. Unfortunately there is no gray area. The decision is either right or wrong, because God won’t see it any other way. Too often people think that a small sin isn’t worth bothering over. That is like saying a small crime can go unnoticed.

This is simply another good example of morals and ethics being placed on the back burner. God is either in your life or He is not. It is really that simple. A lot of people sin and want to think they won’t be held accountable, but they know they will. They then choose to let God be a part of their life. It is then that God will not hold those sins against us. That is, if we change our outlook on life, and decide to live right and good according to Him and what He knows is best for us. God is probably the most controversial issue known today. And yet, there are some of us who do not even have to think twice about it when it comes to God.
